Google Transit Trip Planner
Try it. Currently works only in Portland, Oregon, but other cities might be added later. It combines Google Maps with transit schedules. Pretty neat.

It still needs a lot of work.
I do like the feature about timing the walking. I am always frustrated with WMATA's trip planner, that it doesnt take into account the walking time.
