A plea for help
As you can see in the "recent comments" section on the left side of the page, this site is getting spammed with ads for medications we do not endorse. We do use MT-Blacklist, but it doesn't seem to be working. I try to delete spam as soon as it goes up, but I find myself deleting 50 comments per day, something I don't want to continue. Any ideas?

Have you configured MT to send you an email whenever a comment is posted? MT Blacklist adds a one-click URL to that email, which will nuke the offending comment *and* add the perp to the blacklist. I've found that keeps comment spam to reasonable proportions.
I've just looked at my activity log; I've had a huge number of MT Blacklist denials in the past few days, and most of those are for URLs I'd added to the list days or hours earlier.
