Drunken biking

A New Hampshire lawmaker wants to legalize riding a bike while drunk. As someone who learned not to answer a cell phone on a bike the hard way, I can tell you from experience this is a bad, bad, baaaad idea.

I have learnt that using a mobile on a bicycle is a very bad idea, I still have the scar to prove it.

I also bike when I am slightly drunk. If I crash my bike because I am drunk the only person I am likely to hurt is myself as laws already forbid me from driving on the pavement. If I damage a car I will pay up or face civil courts etc.

Biking while drunk is a personal choice like wearing a helmet. When I am very pissed I will not bike I will stagger or get a taxi, when I have had only a few pints I will ride. When I am in a busy city(or drunk)I will wear a helmet, in the country I will not.

From England.

According to empirical research, riding a bike under a strong beer buzz is less likely to lead to public humiliation than riding a bike and attempting to talk on a cellphone.

Drunken biking should definitely be legal. It's fantastic. As for Cellphones, get an ear piece!
