Port Authority breaks ground on transit center

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today launched construction of a transit center at the World Trade Center site.

From the pictures, it looks amazing. There's one thing missing from the pictures though: transit!

Looks to be amazing. Clean, modern, sleek. A stark contrast to the aging NYC subway system. This news really took me by surprise. I hadn't heard about its plans at all, but now that I see them I am all for it. It seemed crazy to me that so many NJers ended up routing through Penn Station to reach their final destinations. These easy underground connectors will truly seamlessly let NJers, tourists, and NYers alike navigate the suprisingly small Downtown area with ease.
